Some of our adoptable dogs & cats are also listed on www.petfinder.com and www.petango.com. (Enter zip code 84660 to find us on either of these sites. Petango's website is the most accurate since it updates the fastest.)

Like us on Facebook! www.facebook.com/SouthUtahValleyAnimalShelter. We also have a shelter blog! Follow us at www.suvas101.blogspot.com.

IF YOU ARE MISSING A PET AND DON'T SEE IT LISTED ON OUR SITE, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR PET IS NOT HERE. PLEASE WALK THROUGH THE SHELTER PERSONALLY IF YOU ARE MISSING YOUR PET. ANIMALS LISTED ON OUR SITE MAY OR MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, AND NOT EVERY ANIMAL IN THE SHELTER IS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE. IF YOU HAVE FOUND A LOST ANIMAL, PLEASE BRING IT TO THE SHELTER SO IT'S CHANCES OF BEING REUNITED WITH ITS FAMILY ARE INCREASED! THAT'S WHAT WE DO!

Please note: The shelter closes for staff meetings every Wednesday from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm to better serve you and the animals we house.  We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.  We look forward to being able to serve you!

Donate a Dog Bed Today! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Camille

Give our dogs a soft spot to lie down by donating a Kuranda Dog Bed! It's easy. Just click the link below. If you can't buy a whole bed, consider making a donation to the shelter that we can put toward a bed.

http://kuranda.com/donate/4153

Why a Kuranda Bed and not just a soft blanket or foam pad? Raised Kuranda Beds are indestructible and easy to clean while still providing a soft place to rest. We try very hard to keep the animals comfortable while at the same time keeping the kennels sanitary. Soft beds, pillows, pads and blankets are difficult to keep dry and clean, and provide temptation to many animals to chew.

THANK YOU to Mary W who donated our first two Kuranda dog beds! We know the dogs will love and appreciate them!

There are many items we need in the shelter that we don't always have the budget for. Consider donating any of the following items, or sponsoring a donation drive on behalf of the shelter. Remember that any donations made to the South Utah Valley Animal Shelter help homeless animals in our community!

Cash--we use cash donations to purchase vaccinations for the animals in the shelter. Vaccinated animals are healthy animals. Healthy animals are adoptable animals! We also use cash donations to spay or neuter animals to reduce adoption costs to senior citizens, short- and long-term care facilities or nursing homes.

Payson residents can contact Payson City for information on obtaining a Payson license. Licenses must be renewed annually.

Discounted micro chips will also be available for $15, including national lifetime registry.

Cash and checks are accepted forms of payment. We apologize for any inconvenience, but at this time, we are not able to offer debit or credit card payment. If paying by check, be prepared to have three: One check for the Veterinarian (vaccination/s), one check for the city (license) and one check for the South Utah Valley Animal Shelter (microchip).
