As COVID-19 concerns affect Utah County, the South Utah Valley Animal Shelter is taking cautionary steps to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, public and the pets in our care.

We will be holding vaccination and licensing clinics this year. For more information click on the licensing tab above or pre-register below.

Monday:        10:00am-12:00pm 1:00 pm - 5:00pm

Tuesday:       10:00am-12:00pm 1:00 pm - 5:00pm

Wednesday: 10:00am-12:00pm 1:00 pm- 5:00pm

Thursday:     10:00am-12:00pm 1:00 pm - 5:00pm

Friday:         10:00am-12:00pm 1:00 pm - 5:00pm

Saturday:     Closed

Sunday:        Closed​

*Adoptions stop an hour prior to closing time

  • RELINQUISH A STRAY ANIMAL: If you have found a stray animal, please contact your local animal control authority: or you can bring the animal to the shelter in person. (Walk-ins welcome)

  • ANIMAL ADOPTIONS: All adoptions are on a first come first serve basis. You must come into the shelter in person and have spent time with the animal prior to adoption.  

  • END OF LIFE EUTHANASIA: Please contact your local veterinarian. ​​​​

South Utah Valley Animal Shelter serves the communities and animals of southern Utah County; Elk Ridge, Mapleton, Payson, Provo, Salem, Santaquin, Spanish Fork, Springville, and Woodland Hills.
We try to reunite lost animals with their owners. For dogs, cats, and other animals that are not reclaimed, we work to find them homes through our adoption program and by partnering with local rescues.
