RELINQUISH A STRAY ANIMAL: As a Government agency we require ID. If you do not live in the city you found the animal in, you MUST contact animal control to have it transported to the shelter. If you have found a stray animal, please contact your local animal control authority: or you can bring the animal to the shelter in person if found in the city which you reside.

ANIMAL ADOPTIONS: All adoptions are on a first come first serve basis. You must come into the shelter in person and have spent time with the animal prior to adoption.

END OF LIFE SERVICES: Please contact your local veterinarian.

ANIMAL CRUELTY COMPLAINTS: If you suspect an animal is being mistreated or abused please contact your local police departments non emergency dispatch.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday-Wednesday -Friday 10:00 am-5:00 pm.
Tuesday-Thursday 11:00 am -6:00 pm.
Wednesdays we are closed from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm for staff training.
Adoptions stop 1 hour prior to closing.
We are closed weekends and holidays

South Utah Valley Animal Shelter serves the communities and animals of southern Utah County; Elk Ridge, Mapleton, Payson, Provo, Salem, Santaquin, Spanish Fork, Springville, and Woodland Hills.
We try to reunite lost animals with their owners. For dogs, cats, and other animals that are not reclaimed, we work to find them homes through our adoption program and by partnering with local rescues.
